Do Good Design brings engaging brand design to small Portland nonprofits through a menu of services offered at nominal rates. By donating a portion of our work and through partnerships with talented senior level design students, we are able to equip local nonprofits with lasting brand identities and design services that communicate their missions to their clients, volunteers, donors, and the greater community.
Do Good Design is a program of Precious Bugarin Design. We believe that through direct and meaningful design, nonprofits have the best chance of securing support for the good work they do and senior design students see the benefits of using their talents for social good.
Why Do Good?
Thoughtful branding and well-designed promotional materials have the potential to elevate and clarify the message of a nonprofit organization, opening them up to greater funding opportunities and greater engagement with the community they serve.
Working with a design firm, ad agency, or independent designer is often out of financial reach for many nonprofits. Quality design work should not be a luxury for organizations that serve the greater good—they deserve the same branded visual sophistication as any corporation.
Service Learning Opportunities
Within the Do Good Design program, talented senior design students are able to use the skills they learned in design school in a meaningful service project. For their commitment, these design-student interns receive a three or six month stipend for their service, which is funded by project fees.
Interns join our design lab to gain experience working with clients, to learn about our branding and design process, and to understand the importance of working with organizations that make a difference in the community.
